Nao Bustamante as seen on TV!

Nao Bustamante may look familiar because you are a Californian, an art enthusiast, or someone on the cutting edge of all things local and provocative. Or you may have seen her on TV last summer as a contestant on season one of Bravo’s art-based reality show Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Learn more about Nao’s art practice in this video interview, and how she rocked the show with the kind of avant-garde risk-taking that makes her the perfect choice to perform at BAM/PFA as part of our ongoing celebration of the publication of Radical Light: Alternative Film and Video in the San Francisco Bay Area, 1945-2000.

Also, flip through her photo diary, check out her final work featured on the show Barely Standing, and watch a recap video interview with the host China Chow.
